Surgical Scrub Technologist (Scrub Tech)
Position Summary
Assist the surgical team during procedures by preparing instruments and supplies, maintaining a sterile field, and supporting safe and efficient operating room workflow.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room, instruments, and supplies for surgical procedures.
- Set up and maintain the sterile field throughout procedures.
- Pass instruments, sutures, and supplies to surgeons as needed.
- Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
- Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and sterile draping.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
- Handle and label specimens according to established procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-control standards.
- Clean, disinfect, and restock the operating room after procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support safe surgical workflow.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred or required as applicable.
- Previous Operating Room or surgical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instruments.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
