Scrub and Sterile Processing Technician
Position Summary
We are seeking a Scrub and Sterile Processing Technician to support surgical procedures and ensure instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, assembled, and prepared for use. The technician will maintain sterile technique and support safe and efficient operating room and sterile processing operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures.
- Assist surgical teams by providing instruments and supplies during procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique throughout surgical procedures.
- Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments.
- Prepare and organize instrument trays and procedure sets.
- Operate sterilization and sterilization monitoring equipment as required.
- Maintain accurate sterilization and instrument tracking records.
- Inspect instruments and equipment for damage or malfunction.
- Store and distribute sterile supplies appropriately.
- Follow infection control, safety, and sterile processing standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology or Sterile Processing program preferred.
- Previous surgical scrub and/or sterile processing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile technique, decontamination, and sterilization procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Pay Rate
$52.85 - $57.72/hour
