Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Position Summary
We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide specialized respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic breathing conditions. The RRT will assess respiratory status, administer treatments, manage respiratory equipment, and respond to respiratory emergencies.
Responsibilities
Assess and monitor patients’ respiratory status and oxygen needs.
Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and prescribed medications.
Manage ventilators and other respiratory support equipment.
Perform respiratory procedures and diagnostic testing as required.
Monitor oxygen saturation, vital signs, and patient response to treatment.
Assist with airway management, intubation, and emergency interventions as needed.
Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Perform routine checks and maintenance of respiratory equipment.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Follow infection control, patient safety, and respiratory care standards.
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
Current Respiratory Therapist license in the applicable state.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
Previous hospital, acute care, or critical care experience preferred.
Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to respond effectively to respiratory emergencies and changing patient needs.
Pay Rate
$49.03 - $53.91/hour
