RRT – Registered Respiratory Therapist
Position Summary
We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic breathing conditions. The RRT will assess respiratory status, administer treatments, manage respiratory equipment, and collaborate with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ respiratory status and breathing needs.
- Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and prescribed respiratory medications.
- Manage ventilators and other respiratory support equipment as required.
- Perform respiratory procedures and diagnostic tests.
- Monitor patients’ oxygen saturation, vital signs, and respiratory response.
- Respond to respiratory emergencies and assist with airway management.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance of respiratory equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and respiratory care standards.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Current state respiratory care license, as required.
- Previous hospital or acute care respiratory therapy experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency and critical care situations.
Pay Rate
$56.66 - $61.53/hour
