Position Summary
We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide respiratory care, manage ventilator support, and assist patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ respiratory status and monitor vital signs.
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and respiratory medications as prescribed.
- Operate and monitor ventilators and other respiratory equipment.
- Perform respiratory assessments and diagnostic procedures.
- Assist with airway management and emergency respiratory interventions.
- Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments according to established protocols.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment use.
- Document treatments and patient progress accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the NBRC.
- Active state license where required.
- Strong knowledge of ventilator management and respiratory care procedures.
- Excellent clinical, communication, and patient-care skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute-care setting.
- Current BLS certification; ACLS or PALS as required by the assignment.
- Experience caring for critically ill patients and managing advanced respiratory equipment.
Pay Rate
$64.47 - $69.35/hour
