Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Unit Manager to oversee the daily clinical operations of a nursing unit while ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. The Unit Manager will provide leadership to nursing staff, coordinate patient care activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a collaborative environment focused on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the assigned nursing unit
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and clinical guidance to nursing and support staff
  • Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care through effective care planning and staff oversight
  • Monitor patient outcomes and address clinical issues promptly
  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, and workload management
  • Conduct staff orientation, training, performance evaluations, and competency assessments
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and nursing best practices
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Participate in patient admissions, care planning, and discharge coordination as needed
  • Monitor quality improvement initiatives, infection prevention, and patient safety programs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support the use of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
  • Serve as a resource for staff, patients, and families while promoting a positive work environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2–3 years of recent nursing experience with prior charge nurse, supervisory, or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and team management skills
  • Knowledge of nursing regulations, quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical operations
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSN preferred; MSN preferred for leadership roles
  • Previous experience as a Unit Manager, Charge Nurse, Nurse Supervisor, or Assistant Nurse Manager
  • Experience in acute care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or long-term care settings
  • Previous travel or contract leadership experience preferred
  • Certification in Nursing Leadership (CNML) or related specialty preferred
  • Strong ability to lead interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Pay Rate
$59.52 - $64.40/hour
