Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to oversee the daily clinical operations of a nursing unit while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. The RN Unit Manager will provide leadership to nursing staff, coordinate patient care, maintain regulatory compliance, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote positive patient outcomes and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations and clinical activities of the assigned nursing unit
• Supervise, mentor, and support Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Nursing Assistants, and other unit staff
• Coordinate patient care activities, staffing assignments, admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure efficient workflow
• Perform patient assessments and assist with complex clinical situations as needed
• Monitor patient care quality, safety initiatives, and compliance with evidence-based nursing practices
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Monitor staffing levels, scheduling, productivity, and resource utilization to meet patient care needs
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, staff training, competency evaluations, coaching, and performance management
• Promote infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA compliance, and adherence to facility policies and procedures
• Lead quality improvement initiatives, performance improvement projects, and patient satisfaction efforts
• Respond effectively to patient concerns, staff issues, and clinical emergencies while maintaining a positive work environment
• Assist with budget management, inventory control, and unit operational planning as assigned


Required Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Minimum 2–3 years of recent Registered Nurse experience with previous charge nurse or leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing practice standards, patient care coordination, regulatory compliance, and clinical operations
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Strong critical-thinking, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
• Ability to effectively lead teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered, and evidence-based nursing care

Pay Rate
$59.52 - $64.40/hour
