Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to patients requiring continuous cardiac and physiological monitoring. The Telemetry RN will assess patient conditions, interpret cardiac rhythms, administer medications and treatments, respond to changes in patient status, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective care for patients with cardiac, medical, and surgical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct nursing care to patients requiring continuous telemetry and cardiac monitoring
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
• Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms and promptly recognize and respond to rhythm abnormalities
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
• Monitor vital signs, oxygenation, laboratory results, and patient responses to interventions
• Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate nursing interventions and emergency response when necessary
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, cardiac health, treatments, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, cardiac rhythms, and patient outcomes in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Operate and troubleshoot telemetry monitoring equipment and other clinical devices as needed
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and emergency procedures
• Follow infection prevention practices, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and promote evidence-based nursing practice
Required Qualifications:
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required/preferred based on facility requirements
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and medical-surgical nursing practices
• Excellent clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
• Commitment to providing safe, compassionate, and evidence-based patient care
Pay Rate
$68.76 - $73.63/hour
