Registered Nurse – Step-Down ICU (SDU/Progressive Care Unit)
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide specialized care to patients transitioning from the Intensive Care Unit or requiring close monitoring in a Step-Down Unit. The Step-Down ICU RN will assess patient conditions, administer treatments, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other advanced monitoring equipment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
Qualifications:
• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong critical-thinking, assessment, and telemetry monitoring skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity Step-Down or Progressive Care environment.
• Previous Step-Down ICU, Progressive Care (PCU), Telemetry, or Critical Care experience preferred.
Pay Rate
$87.14 - $92.02/hour
