Registered Nurse (RN) – SSSU/PACU

We are seeking an experienced RN to provide safe and specialized care to patients before and after surgical and procedural services in a Same-Day Surgery and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (SSSU/PACU). The RN will monitor patients, manage recovery, administer medications, and prepare patients for discharge.

Responsibilities:

Assess and prepare patients before surgical or procedural services.
Monitor vital signs, airway, oxygenation, pain, and level of consciousness during recovery.
Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered.
Monitor patients for post-anesthesia complications and changes in condition.
Provide airway management and emergency interventions as needed.
Manage pain, nausea, and other post-procedure symptoms.
Provide post-procedure care, education, and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and recovery protocols.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
SSSU, PACU, perioperative, ICU, or critical care experience preferred.
Knowledge of post-anesthesia assessment, airway management, and patient recovery.
BLS and ACLS certification preferred or required as applicable.
Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Compassionate, dependable, professional, and patient-focused.

Pay Rate
$67.33 - $72.21/hour
