Registered Nurse (RN) – SSSU/PACU

We are seeking an experienced RN to provide safe and specialized care to patients before and after surgical and procedural services in a Same-Day Surgery and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (SSSU/PACU). The RN will monitor patients, manage recovery, administer medications, and prepare patients for discharge.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and prepare patients before surgical or procedural services.
  • Monitor vital signs, airway, oxygenation, pain, and level of consciousness during recovery.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered.
  • Monitor patients for post-anesthesia complications and changes in condition.
  • Provide airway management and emergency interventions as needed.
  • Manage pain, nausea, and other post-procedure symptoms.
  • Provide post-procedure care, education, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and recovery protocols.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • SSSU, PACU, perioperative, ICU, or critical care experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of post-anesthesia assessment, airway management, and patient recovery.
  • BLS and ACLS certification preferred or required as applicable.
  • Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassionate, dependable, professional, and patient-focused.

Pay Rate
$67.33 - $72.21/hour
