Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Spine Center Clinic. The RN will provide comprehensive outpatient nursing care for patients with spinal disorders, orthopedic and neurosurgical conditions, assisting with evaluations, treatment coordination, patient education, and follow-up care while collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients with spine and musculoskeletal conditions and document comprehensive health histories.
- Coordinate patient care for spine evaluations, procedures, treatments, and follow-up appointments.
- Administer medications, injections, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments within the outpatient setting.
- Assist physicians during office procedures and clinical examinations.
- Triage patient phone calls, evaluate symptoms, and provide appropriate nursing guidance.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, postoperative care, rehabilitation, and pain management.
- Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, imaging studies, and specialty consultations.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate with spine surgeons, advanced practice providers, physical therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and clinic policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient clinic, orthopedic, spine, neurosurgery, medical-surgical, or ambulatory nursing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of orthopedic and spine conditions, patient assessment, medication administration, and care coordination.
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
Pay Rate
$59.71 - $64.58/hour
