Registered Nurse – Respiratory

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with respiratory and medical conditions on a hospital unit. The RN will assess patient needs, monitor respiratory status, administer medications and treatments, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions.
  • Monitor respiratory status, oxygen saturation, vital signs, and changes in condition.
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, oxygen therapy, and prescribed treatments.
  • Assist with respiratory procedures and airway management as needed.
  • Recognize and respond promptly to respiratory distress and clinical deterioration.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding medications, respiratory care, and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
  • Follow infection control, patient safety, and clinical nursing standards.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Previous respiratory, medical-surgical, or acute-care experience preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification preferred/required as applicable.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Pay Rate
$52.85 - $57.72/hour
