Registered Nurse – Respiratory
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with respiratory and pulmonary conditions. The RN will assess respiratory status, administer treatments and medications, monitor patient responses, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support safe and effective patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor respiratory status, vital signs, oxygenation, and changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, oxygen therapy, and prescribed treatments.
- Assist with respiratory procedures and airway management as needed.
- Monitor patients receiving oxygen, ventilatory support, or other respiratory interventions.
- Recognize and respond promptly to respiratory distress and clinical deterioration.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care, medications, and disease management.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and clinical nursing standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous respiratory, pulmonary, critical care, or acute-care experience preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred/required as applicable.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Pay Rate
$52.85 - $57.72/hour
