Department: Clinical Oncology
They should have some oncology experience, be able to start IV's. Radiation oncology experience would be fantastic but I will look at anyone with oncology experience.

- Unit: Clinical Oncology Boise
- # beds/rooms: 13 exam rooms
- Average # of providers in the clinic/day: 4 MDs and 3 NP/PA.
- Average # of patients/day: MDs see 18-20 pts per day and NP/PA see 10-13 per day.
- Required Certifications: ONC preferred, BLS.
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Solid tumor/benign heme – breast, prostate, GI, lung
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have 2 years of Outpatient oncology experience, okay with
first time travelers. Triage experience preferred .Radiation oncology experience would be fantastic but I will look at anyone with oncology experience.
- Job Duties: Triage, outgoing phone calls, phone assessments, pt edu, care coordination, assessments
- Is there a Manager/Supervisor on each shift: Nurse supervisor daily.
- Do you use Medical Assistants or CNA's: MA/CNA per provider.
- EMR: EPIC
- Shifts & Scheduling: Clinic is open 0800-1730. Shifts M-F 8 hours, possibility for 4- 9 hour shifts (will
try to give a set day off if working 9 hour shifts but may need to shift to cover all shifts- would know
if shifting by Thursday of week prior). Start times are variable- may have to shift start times but do
try to keep you on the same schedule.

- Holiday Requirement: No
- Is there a call or standby requirement: no
- Floating Requirements: Yes, can float to 4 outpatient Oncology sites in Treasure Valley- Boise,
Meridian, Nampa, Fruitland (all very similar so roles are similar). Most common float is to Meridian.
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color as long as clean and professional.
- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: Orient in triage and with NP/PA depending
on clinic need. 3-10 days orienting.
