Summary of Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains standards of nursing practice as defined by the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics, Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, and Nursing’s Social Policy Statement.
The RN supports and actualizes the vision, mission, values, and balanced scorecard performance measures of the Medical Center.
The RN participates in performance improvement and research activities, maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise, and demonstrates effective leadership skills. The RN demonstrates core and unit-specific competencies based on the patient population served.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Level III or higher NICU experience required.
- New York State Registered Professional Nurse License with current registration or a valid permit to practice as an RN in New York State.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
- Infection Control Training required.
- Specialty certification preferred.
- Effective English communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems.
Pay Rate
$74.41 - $79.28/hour
