RN – Post Procedure
Provide specialized nursing care to patients recovering from diagnostic and interventional procedures. The Post-Procedure RN will monitor patients for complications, manage pain and recovery needs, provide education, and ensure safe transition to discharge or the next level of care.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre- and post-procedure patient assessments.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythm, oxygenation, and level of consciousness.
- Assess procedure sites for bleeding, infection, or other complications.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and prescribed treatments.
- Manage pain, nausea, and other post-procedure symptoms.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Provide discharge instructions and education to patients and caregivers.
- Communicate patient status and handoff information to the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow patient safety, infection control, and post-procedure protocols.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous post-procedure, PACU, procedural, critical care, or emergency nursing experience preferred.
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and patient-care abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Pay Rate
$56.66 - $61.53/hour
