RN – Pediatrics (PEDS)
Provide safe, compassionate, and age-appropriate nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents. The Pediatric RN will assess patients, administer medications and treatments, monitor clinical conditions, educate families, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive pediatric patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments based on age and weight.
- Monitor vital signs, laboratory results, and patient responses to treatment.
- Provide age-appropriate care, comfort, and emotional support.
- Educate parents and caregivers on medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in pediatric patient conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and pediatric nursing standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous pediatric nursing experience preferred.
- Strong pediatric assessment and clinical skills.
- BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred or required as applicable.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and family-centered care skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced pediatric environment.
Pay Rate
$70.33 - $75.20/hour
