Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse
We are seeking a skilled Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and specialized treatment in a progressive care setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, monitor, and provide nursing care to patients with complex medical and surgical conditions.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and recognize changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and facility protocols.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by state regulations.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Current ACLS certification required.
- Strong knowledge of progressive care nursing, cardiac monitoring, patient assessment, and critical care principles.
- Previous PCU, Step-Down, Telemetry, ICU, or acute care nursing experience preferred.
Pay Rate
$71.90 - $76.78/hour
