Average # of cases per day: 15-25
Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) BLS (RN and Tech), CST and VA License
Common Cases: General/ colorectal (laparoscopic, open, DaVinci Xi), orthopedics- total joints (hips, knees, and shoulders), arthroscopy, ortho spine, urology, plastics (medical and cosmetic), ENT.
Experience or 'Must have' skills: Orthopedics- total joints, ortho spine, general, urology, DaVinci Xi
Scrubbing required - RN's: Yes
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Charge Nurse
OR techs: Yes
Weeknight/Weekend Call Requirements: Call requirements are 2-3 weekends (12-hour call shifts) in a six-week schedule period. Additional call may be required during the weeknight and/or weekend based on unit needs.
Holiday/Call Requirements: 1 Major
Is there a mandatory call/standby requirement? Yes-call
What is call response time? 45 minutes
Floating Requirements: Does not float to other areas of the hospital
Hospital/Unit/Department specific orientation: 5 days orientation. The first week plan to work M-F 7a-3p. This week will encompass all of the hospital and unit specific orientation. If you were hired for a shift other than eight hours you will start that shift schedule on week 2.
Additional Notes: Dept. Description: Community Hospital with 7 OR suites. Open 24/7. Staffed Monday - Friday. Weekdays after 7p and weekends is staffed with on-call team.
