Registered Nurse (RN) – OR Circulator / Pre-Op / PACU
Position Summary
Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across Pre-Op, Operating Room, and PACU. Prepare patients for procedures, support safe surgical care, monitor recovery, and ensure continuity of care throughout the perioperative process.
Responsibilities
- Assess and prepare patients before surgery or procedures.
- Establish IV access and administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Verify patient information, consent, surgical site, and procedure details.
- Serve as an OR circulator and support the surgical team during procedures.
- Maintain patient safety, positioning, sterile technique, and surgical counts.
- Monitor patients in PACU, including vital signs, airway, pain, and recovery status.
- Recognize and respond to postoperative complications and emergencies.
- Provide discharge instructions and patient/family education.
- Maintain accurate and timely perioperative documentation.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current RN license in the applicable state.
- Previous Pre-Op, OR, and/or PACU experience preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred/required as applicable.
- Strong clinical, assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
Pay Rate
$81.81 - $86.69/hour
