RN – OR Circulator
Provide safe and specialized nursing care to patients throughout the surgical process. The OR Circulator coordinates operating room activities, maintains patient safety, supports the surgical team, and ensures procedures are performed efficiently according to established standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform preoperative patient assessments and verify surgical information.
- Prepare the operating room, supplies, equipment, and medications for procedures.
- Position patients safely and maintain appropriate surgical precautions.
- Monitor patient status throughout surgical procedures.
- Maintain a sterile and safe environment in collaboration with the surgical team.
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other staff.
- Perform surgical counts and ensure proper specimen handling.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and obtain necessary supplies or equipment.
- Document surgical activities, patient care, and intraoperative events accurately.
- Assist with patient transfer and postoperative handoff.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous Operating Room/Perioperative nursing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient safety practices.
- Excellent communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Pay Rate
$74.19 - $79.07/hour
