Registered Nurse – Obstetrics (RN OB)
Provide compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout pregnancy, labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. The RN OB will monitor maternal and fetal health, administer treatments, assist with obstetric procedures, and support patients and families throughout the childbirth experience.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor maternal and fetal conditions.
- Monitor fetal heart rate, contractions, vital signs, and patient status.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered.
- Assist physicians and providers during labor, delivery, and obstetric procedures.
- Provide postpartum nursing care and patient education.
- Recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies and complications.
- Support patients and families with education and emotional care.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and obstetric nursing standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, neonatal staff, and interdisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous OB, Labor & Delivery, or postpartum experience preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS and NRP certifications preferred/required as applicable.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Pay Rate
$71.69 - $76.57/hour
