Registered Nurse – Obstetrics (RN OB)
Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. The OB RN will monitor maternal and fetal conditions, administer medications and treatments, assist with deliveries, and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor and delivery.
- Monitor fetal heart rate, contractions, vital signs, and changes in patient status.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered.
- Assist physicians and providers during labor, delivery, and obstetric procedures.
- Provide postpartum and newborn care as appropriate.
- Recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies and complications.
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care.
- Provide emotional support and promote patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, neonatal staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous Obstetrics, Labor & Delivery, or Women’s Health experience preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS and NRP certifications preferred/required as applicable.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Pay Rate
$71.69 - $76.57/hour
