RN - NICU
Position Summary
We are seeking a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care to premature, critically ill, and medically fragile newborns. The RN will monitor neonatal conditions, administer treatments, support families, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team.
Responsibilities
- Assess and continuously monitor newborns for changes in condition.
- Monitor vital signs, respiratory status, cardiac rhythms, and other clinical indicators.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments.
- Provide specialized nursing care for premature and critically ill infants.
- Manage and monitor respiratory support and other neonatal equipment as appropriate.
- Assist with procedures and respond to neonatal emergencies.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Educate and support parents and families regarding newborn care.
- Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and neonatal care standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
- Nursing degree from an accredited program.
- Previous NICU or neonatal nursing experience preferred.
- Strong neonatal assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
- BLS and NRP certification as required.
Pay Rate
$68.09 - $72.97/hour
