Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care in a Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) unit. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals with acute and chronic medical conditions while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with medical, surgical, and post-operative conditions.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments.
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, laboratory results, and response to treatment.
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, catheter care, specimen collection, and other nursing procedures.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, disease management, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) or acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical-surgical nursing, medication administration, patient assessment, and care planning.
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
Pay Rate
$56.66 - $61.53/hour
