Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dedicated oncology care team. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for adult oncology and medical-surgical patients while delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in a fast-paced acute care environment. Candidates with Chemotherapy Certification are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process.
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and oncology patients.
Safely administer chemotherapy, medications, blood products, and other prescribed treatments in accordance with established protocols.
Monitor patients for treatment responses, side effects, and changes in clinical condition.
Perform ongoing patient assessments and communicate significant findings to the healthcare team.
Educate patients and families regarding cancer diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, symptom management, and discharge instructions.
Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, case managers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate quality patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Provide supportive care focused on symptom management, pain control, and patient comfort.
Float to other units within the RN scope of practice based on staffing needs and participate in on-call coverage if required.

Required Qualifications

Active Colorado RN License (or Compact License if applicable)
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
Current BLS Certification (AHA)
Chemotherapy Certification required
Previous Medical-Surgical and/or Oncology nursing experience preferred
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Pay Rate
$62.48 - $67.36/hour
