Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Neurology (Med/Neuro) to provide high-quality nursing care for patients with acute medical and neurological conditions. The RN will assess patient needs, administer treatments, monitor neurological status, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, patient-centered care and positive clinical outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including neurological evaluations
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments
  • Monitor neurological status, vital signs, laboratory results, and patient responses to treatment
  • Provide care for patients with stroke, seizures, traumatic brain injuries, neurological disorders, and other acute medical conditions
  • Perform wound care, pain management, and post-procedure nursing care
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
  • Collaborate with neurologists, physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, and patient safety standards
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
  • Current BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification preferred or required based on assignment
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred or required based on facility requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical, Neurology, Neuro Step-Down, or Stroke Unit nursing experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of neurological assessments, stroke care, seizure management, and medical-surgical nursing practices
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred

Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
