Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care in a Medical Unit. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals with acute and chronic medical conditions while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Provide direct nursing care for patients with a variety of medical conditions.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments.
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, laboratory results, and response to treatment.
- Perform wound care, catheter care, specimen collection, and other nursing procedures.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, disease management, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Unit, Medical-Surgical, or Acute Care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of patient assessment, medication administration, care planning, and medical nursing practices.
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
Pay Rate
$55.13 - $60.01/hour
