Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical to provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions and post-operative needs. The RN will assess patients, develop individualized care plans, administer treatments, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
  • Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatments, reporting significant changes promptly
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments
  • Provide post-operative care, wound care, pain management, and patient monitoring
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and discharge planning
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatments, self-care, and discharge instructions
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, quality improvement initiatives, and patient education programs

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required
  • ACLS certification preferred or required based on assignment
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical-surgical nursing, patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and post-operative care
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment
