Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical to provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions and post-operative needs. The RN will assess patients, develop individualized care plans, administer treatments, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatments, reporting significant changes promptly
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments
Provide post-operative care, wound care, pain management, and patient monitoring
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and discharge planning
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatments, self-care, and discharge instructions
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies
Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, quality improvement initiatives, and patient education programs

Required Qualifications:

Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
Current BLS/CPR certification required
ACLS certification preferred or required based on assignment
Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred
Strong knowledge of medical-surgical nursing, patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and post-operative care
Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment
