Registered Nurse (RN) – LDRP
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) to provide comprehensive nursing care to women throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the postpartum period. The RN will monitor maternal and fetal conditions, assist with deliveries, provide postpartum care, and support mothers and newborns in a safe, patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
- Monitor maternal vital signs, contractions, fetal heart rate, and overall patient condition.
- Assist physicians and midwives with vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered.
- Recognize and respond to maternal and fetal complications and emergencies.
- Perform fetal monitoring and report abnormal findings promptly.
- Provide postpartum assessments and monitor patients for complications.
- Support newborn care and assist with breastfeeding and parent education.
- Educate patients and families regarding labor, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and obstetric care standards.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, neonatal staff, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Previous LDRP, Labor & Delivery, or obstetric nursing experience preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- NRP, ACLS, or other obstetric certifications may be required based on position requirements.
- Strong knowledge of maternal, fetal, and newborn assessment.
- Ability to respond effectively to high-risk obstetric and emergency situations.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.
Pay Rate
$79.52 - $84.40/hour
