Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology (IR RN)
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care in an Interventional Radiology setting. The IR RN will support patients before, during, and after minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal clinical outcomes while collaborating closely with physicians and the interventional radiology team.
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
• Prepare patients for procedures, including assessments, IV access, and patient education
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient status throughout procedures
• Assist physicians with sterile technique, procedural setup, and contrast administration
• Administer medications, including moderate sedation, per provider orders and protocols
• Monitor patients during post-procedure recovery and identify potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Educate patients and families on procedures, aftercare, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications:
• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in Interventional Radiology, critical care, ICU, or procedural nursing preferred
• Strong knowledge of patient monitoring, sedation practices, and emergency response
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, procedural environment
• Commitment to safe, patient-centered, and high-quality care
Pay Rate
$79.52 - $84.40/hour
