Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Infusion Therapy Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe and specialized care to patients receiving intravenous medications, biologic therapies, blood products, and other infusion treatments. The RN will assess patients, administer therapies, monitor for reactions, and provide education and ongoing clinical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients before, during, and after infusion treatments.
- Administer IV medications, biologic therapies, chemotherapy, hydration, and other prescribed infusions within scope of practice.
- Initiate and maintain peripheral IVs and access implanted ports or central lines as appropriate.
- Monitor vital signs, patient response, and infusion sites throughout treatment.
- Recognize and respond promptly to infusion reactions and other adverse events.
- Verify medication orders, dosage, compatibility, and patient information before administration.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatments, medications, side effects, and home care.
- Maintain accurate infusion records and clinical documentation in the EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain infection prevention, medication safety, and patient safety standards.
- Follow organizational policies and applicable infusion therapy guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent infusion or relevant clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IV therapy, medication administration, central lines, and infusion safety.
- Excellent assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and patient-care skills.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ONS/ONCC chemotherapy and immunotherapy certification preferred where applicable.
- Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) certification preferred.
- Experience with biologic, oncology, antibiotic, hydration, and blood product infusions.
- Experience with PICC lines, implanted ports, and other central venous access devices.
- Strong ability to recognize and manage infusion-related complications.

Pay Rate
$70,000.00 - $104,000.00/year
