Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse – House Supervisor to provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for hospital nursing services during assigned shifts. The House Supervisor will coordinate patient flow, staffing, emergency response, and interdisciplinary communication while ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and clinical oversight for nursing operations during assigned shifts.
- Coordinate staffing assignments and adjust resources to meet patient care needs.
- Monitor patient flow, admissions, transfers, discharges, and bed utilization.
- Serve as the clinical resource and leadership support for nursing staff and other departments.
- Respond to emergency situations, rapid response calls, and code events.
- Assist with conflict resolution, patient concerns, and operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, department leaders, case management, and ancillary services to coordinate patient care.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to clinical best practices.
- Maintain accurate administrative reports and documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Mentor, coach, and support nursing staff while promoting a positive work environment.
- Participate in leadership meetings, staff education, and continuous performance improvement activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Current ACLS certification required.
- Minimum 3 years of recent acute care nursing experience, including supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hospital operations, patient flow, staffing coordination, regulatory standards, and emergency response procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
Pay Rate
$68.09 - $72.97/hour
