RN - Hemodialysis
Position Summary
We are seeking a Hemodialysis Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care to patients receiving dialysis treatments. The RN will assess patients, manage dialysis treatments, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and coordinate care with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients before, during, and after hemodialysis treatments.
- Initiate, monitor, and discontinue dialysis treatments safely.
- Monitor vital signs, fluid balance, and patient response to treatment.
- Manage dialysis access sites and identify potential complications.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Respond to changes in patient condition and dialysis-related emergencies.
- Educate patients on dialysis treatment, medications, diet, and fluid restrictions.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and clinical documentation.
- Follow infection control, safety, and dialysis protocols.
- Collaborate with nephrologists and the multidisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Nursing degree from an accredited program.
- Hemodialysis or nephrology nursing experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills.
- BLS certification; additional dialysis certification preferred based on requirements.
Pay Rate
$86.38 - $91.26/hour
