Position Summary:
We are seeking a versatile and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Flex Pool. The RN will provide high-quality patient care across multiple clinical units based on staffing needs, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care across assigned hospital units as needed.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments.
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, laboratory results, and response to treatment.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Adapt quickly to different patient populations, workflows, and clinical environments.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred or required based on assigned units.
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple specialty units.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience in Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Critical Care, Emergency Department, or Progressive Care units.
- Previous float pool or travel nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing assignments and patient care needs.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
Pay Rate
$55.13 - $60.01/hour
