Position Summary:
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Flex Pool to provide high-quality patient care across multiple inpatient units based on staffing needs. The Flex Pool RN will deliver safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care while adapting quickly to various clinical settings and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care across multiple inpatient units as assigned.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Float to various departments based on staffing and patient care needs.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple specialty units.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
Pay Rate
$55.13 - $60.01/hour
