Position Summary:
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Flex Pool to provide high-quality patient care across multiple hospital units based on staffing needs. The Flex Pool RN will adapt quickly to various clinical settings, perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer treatments, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care across multiple inpatient and specialty units as assigned
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in clinical status
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards
- Adapt quickly to different unit workflows, patient populations, and clinical environments
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support a collaborative team environment
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN preferred)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or as required by the facility
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and adaptability skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-unit healthcare environment
Pay Rate
$55.13 - $60.01/hour
