RN – Emergency Room (ER)
Provide rapid, safe, and comprehensive nursing care to patients with urgent and emergent medical conditions. The ER RN will assess and prioritize patients, administer medications and treatments, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support timely patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and triage based on acuity.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation, and changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and prescribed treatments.
- Assist with emergency procedures, resuscitation, and patient stabilization.
- Recognize and respond promptly to clinical deterioration and life-threatening conditions.
- Provide wound care and other nursing interventions as needed.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow emergency care, infection control, patient safety, and nursing standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous Emergency Room or Emergency Department experience preferred.
- Strong triage, assessment, critical-thinking, and prioritization skills.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred or required as applicable.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Pay Rate
$64.28 - $69.16/hour
