RN – Endoscopy
Position Summary
Provide skilled nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, including pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery.
Responsibilities
- Assess and prepare patients before endoscopy procedures.
- Obtain vital signs, medical history, and medication information.
- Establish and manage IV access and administer medications as ordered.
- Monitor patients during procedures for changes in vital signs and condition.
- Assist physicians with endoscopic procedures and maintain patient safety.
- Monitor patients during recovery and identify potential complications.
- Provide post-procedure instructions and patient education.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Ensure proper infection-control and sterile technique practices.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia staff, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current RN license in the applicable state.
- Previous Endoscopy, GI, procedural, or perioperative nursing experience preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred/required as applicable.
- Strong assessment, communication, and patient-care skills.
Pay Rate
$67.33 - $72.21/hour
