RN – Endoscopy
Position Summary
Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, including pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure support, and post-procedure recovery. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and effective coordination throughout the procedure.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for endoscopy.
- Monitor vital signs, oxygenation, and patient condition during and after procedures.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and sedation as ordered.
- Assist physicians with endoscopic procedures and maintain a safe environment.
- Recognize and respond to complications or changes in patient condition.
- Provide post-procedure monitoring, recovery care, and discharge education.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection-control and safety standards.
- Coordinate care with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Endoscopy, GI, procedural, PACU, or critical care experience preferred.
- BLS required; ACLS preferred/required as applicable.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Pay Rate
$64.28 - $69.16/hour
