Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Emergency Department (ED). The RN will provide rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment for patients experiencing acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, timely, and patient-centered emergency care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care using established triage protocols.
  • Provide direct nursing care for patients with medical, surgical, traumatic, and life-threatening conditions.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor patient conditions, cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and response to treatment.
  • Assist physicians during emergency procedures, trauma resuscitations, and life-saving interventions.
  • Operate and monitor emergency equipment, including cardiac monitors, defibrillators, and infusion pumps.
  • Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergency situations.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, follow-up care, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with emergency physicians, specialists, EMS personnel, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Current ACLS certification required.
  • Current PALS certification required or obtained within facility guidelines.
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department or Trauma nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of emergency nursing, trauma care, cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and critical care principles.
  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.

Pay Rate
$68.09 - $72.97/hour
