RN – Dialysis
Provide specialized nursing care to patients receiving hemodialysis and other renal replacement therapies. The Dialysis RN will assess patients, manage dialysis treatments, monitor for complications, administer medications, and provide education to support safe and effective care.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients before, during, and after dialysis treatments.
- Initiate, monitor, and discontinue hemodialysis treatments according to established protocols.
- Monitor vital signs, access sites, fluid balance, and patient response to treatment.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Recognize and respond to dialysis-related complications and emergencies.
- Assess and care for AV fistulas, grafts, and dialysis catheters.
- Educate patients and families on dialysis care, medications, diet, and fluid management.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Follow infection control, safety, and dialysis standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous dialysis nursing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hemodialysis procedures and vascular access care.
- Excellent assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to changing patient conditions.
Pay Rate
$62.57 - $67.44/hour
