Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for the Clinical Progressive Care Unit (CPCU)/Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring, telemetry, and medical-surgical care. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients with acute and complex medical conditions.
- Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes requiring immediate intervention.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments.
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, laboratory results, and response to treatment.
- Perform wound care, catheter care, dressing changes, and other nursing procedures.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, disease management, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Current ACLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Clinical Progressive Care Unit (CPCU), Medical-Surgical Telemetry, Step-Down, or Telemetry nursing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring, telemetry interpretation, medication administration, and patient assessment.
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
Pay Rate
$60.47 - $65.35/hour
