This position is for the Ambualtory Care Pediatric Clinic. The Agency Staff Nurse will provide safe, compassionate, and age-appropriate nursing care to pediatric patients in the Ambulatory Care Pediatric Clinic. Responsibilities will include patient assessment and triage, medication administration, immunizations, patient and family education, care coordination, documentation, and assisting providers with clinic procedures. The nurse will monitor patients for changes in condition, respond appropriately to urgent needs, maintain infection prevention and safety standards, and support efficient clinic operations. The nurse is also expected to collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and adhere to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and standards of pediatric nursing practice.
Required Skills & Experience:
-Two (2) years of Med/Surg or clinic experience is required.
-IV insertion and phlebotomy skills are required.

Required Skills
- Pediatric nursing assessment – Ability to assess infants, children, and adolescents and recognize changes in condition.
- Pediatric medication administration – Knowledge of weight-based medication dosing and safe medication administration.
- Immunization administration – Competency in administering routine childhood and adolescent vaccines and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Triage skills – Ability to prioritize pediatric patients based on presenting symptoms and acuity.
- Patient and family education – Ability to communicate health information clearly to children and caregivers.
- Clinical judgment – Ability to recognize changes in a child’s condition and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Communication and interpersonal skills – Ability to establish rapport with pediatric patients and families and collaborate effectively with providers and the interdisciplinary team.
- Documentation/EHR proficiency – Accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, medications, and patient education.
- Infection prevention and safety – Knowledge of appropriate infection-control practices and pediatric patient-safety standards.
- Emergency response – Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to pediatric emergencies within the ambulatory setting.
- Care coordination – Ability to coordinate follow-up care, referrals, diagnostic testing, and communication with other healthcare services.
- Adaptability – Ability to function effectively in a busy ambulatory environment and adjust to changing patient volumes and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous pediatric or ambulatory care nursing experience
- Experience working with medically complex pediatric patients
- BLS/PALS certification or current pediatric emergency-response competency
- Experience with immunization clinics and pediatric preventive care
- Familiarity with an electronic health record (EHR) and ambulatory clinic workflows
Pay Rate
$62.71 - $67.59/hour
