Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab / Electrophysiology
Unit: H&V – Electrophysiology
Location: Camp Hill PA
Schedule
- Shift: AM
- Hours: 4 × 10-hour shifts per week
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours
- Shift Time: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Meal Break: 30 minutes
- On-Call Requirement: No
Job Summary
The RN – Cardiac Cath Lab/Electrophysiology is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing electrophysiology and cardiac catheterization procedures. The nurse will work closely with Electrophysiology physicians to support diagnostic and therapeutic interventions while ensuring patient safety and high-quality care throughout the procedure.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist Electrophysiology physicians during electrophysiology procedures.
- Provide nursing care for patients undergoing:
- Pacemaker implantation
- Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) implantation
- Implantable Cardiac Monitor (ICM) implantation
- Cardiac ablation procedures
- Cardioversion procedures
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures.
- Administer medications and sedation as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Assist with Cardiac Catheterization Lab procedures.
- Support patient preparation, recovery, and education related to cardiac interventions.
Required Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania RN License or Compact RN License (must be in hand before start date).
- Pennsylvania Fingerprint Clearance.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Current NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
- Experience in Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Electrophysiology preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment.
