Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care (Med-Surg Adult) to provide comprehensive nursing care for adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. The RN will assess patient needs, develop care plans, administer treatments, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
- Provide care for adult medical and surgical patients with acute illnesses and post-operative conditions
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, laboratory results, and responses to treatment
- Coordinate patient care, discharge planning, and patient education
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education activities
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred or required based on assignment
- Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical or Acute Care nursing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of adult acute care, post-operative care, medication administration, and patient assessment
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred
Pay Rate
$61.23 - $66.11/hour
