Respiratory Therapist
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care to patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary conditions. The Respiratory Therapist will assess patients, provide treatments, manage respiratory equipment, and support safe and effective patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ respiratory status and monitor changes in condition.
- Provide oxygen therapy, breathing treatments, and other respiratory therapies.
- Operate and manage ventilators, nebulizers, and other respiratory equipment.
- Assist with airway management, suctioning, and emergency respiratory procedures.
- Perform respiratory and pulmonary function testing as required.
- Monitor patients during treatments and report changes promptly.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
- Follow infection prevention and patient safety standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Current Respiratory Therapist license or credential as required.
- Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- RRT credential preferred or required as applicable.
- Previous clinical or hospital experience preferred.
- Knowledge of respiratory treatments, ventilator management, and airway care.
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate, dependable, professional, and patient-focused.
Pay Rate
$49.03 - $53.91/hour
