Respiratory Therapist
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care to patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary conditions. The Respiratory Therapist will assess patients, administer treatments, manage respiratory equipment, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support safe and effective patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ respiratory status and identify changes in condition.
- Provide respiratory treatments, therapies, and medications as ordered.
- Manage oxygen therapy, ventilators, nebulizers, and other respiratory equipment.
- Assist with airway management, suctioning, and emergency respiratory procedures.
- Perform and assist with pulmonary function and diagnostic testing as required.
- Monitor patients during treatments and report significant changes promptly.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
- Follow infection prevention, safety, and respiratory care standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Current Respiratory Therapist license or credential as required.
- Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- RRT credential preferred or required as applicable.
- Previous hospital or clinical respiratory care experience preferred.
- Knowledge of respiratory treatments, ventilator management, and airway care.
- Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate, dependable, professional, and patient-focused.
Pay Rate
$59.71 - $64.58/hour
