Respiratory Therapist
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide assessment and treatment for patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions. The Respiratory Therapist will deliver respiratory care, manage respiratory equipment, monitor patient status, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support safe and effective patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ respiratory status and identify changes in condition.
- Provide respiratory treatments, therapies, and interventions as ordered.
- Administer oxygen and other respiratory medications as prescribed.
- Operate and monitor ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and other respiratory equipment.
- Perform airway management, suctioning, and related respiratory procedures.
- Monitor oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, and other relevant clinical indicators.
- Assist with emergency airway and respiratory interventions as needed.
- Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory treatments, equipment, and disease management.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and professional practice standards.
Qualifications:
- Current Respiratory Therapist license as required by the state.
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Current respiratory therapy certification as required for the position.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of respiratory care, ventilator management, and airway procedures.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency and fast-paced situations.
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused.
Pay Rate
$61.23 - $66.11/hour
