Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Provide specialized respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions. The RRT will assess respiratory status, administer treatments, manage ventilatory support, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status and oxygen needs.
- Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and respiratory medications.
- Manage mechanical ventilation and monitor ventilator settings.
- Perform airway management, suctioning, and other respiratory procedures.
- Assist with intubation, extubation, and emergency respiratory interventions.
- Perform diagnostic testing such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function testing as required.
- Monitor patient response to treatment and report changes promptly.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Current Respiratory Therapist (RT/RRT) license or credential as required by the state.
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred or required.
- Previous respiratory therapy experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Pay Rate
$52.85 - $57.72/hour
